What should I do about the PS2 controller?

I got a PS2 fat off eBay. Everything works fine, except the controller port 1 doesn’t seem to work. 2 controllers were included, and port 2 works fine for both of the controllers, but port 1 doesn’t seem to see the controllers.

What should I do to fix this?

Sorry to say but your forcing the controller may have wound up breaking the port altogether. You’ll have to contact Sony regarding repairs now.
